New Addiction

Yes, I know. I have sorely neglected my blog, but with good reason. Ok, not really. I just got a Facebook account and I have been addicted to acquiring new friends. Can you blame me for wanting lots of friends. Greg is way ahead of me, so I need to dedicate some time to my FB account. I must have more friends than him. So, here is my shameless plug for my FB account. Check me out and request me as a friend. Thanks!

Praying Mantis Attact!

I just want to start by saying that Greg gave me permission to share this story. Though I would probably share it even if he told me not to, because it is too funny not to talk about it. Tonight, Greg was walking out the french doors to the side yard and I noticed that he let a huge bug in. Luckily I stopped him from accidentally smashing it in the door frame. I turned the light on and we saw that it was a huge praying mantis. Greg did not want to smash it so he grabbed a paper towel to gently catch it and put it outside. Just as he was about to grab it, the praying mantis flew up into the air and then straight to his eye. It landed on his cheek just below the eye and he freaked out. I am not even exaggerating when I say that he screamed and started flailing his arms. He started yelling, "Where is it?, Where is it?". It landed on the entertainment center and then crawled up on the TV. I got a large plastic cup and then he coaxed it into the cup and took it outside. My description of the situation does not do it justice, but believe me when I say it was hilarious. This is the guy who loves to watch scary movies (he did not think "The Ring" was scary) and who did not hesitate to follow, on foot, a guy who broke into cars, until the police caught up to them. Next time you see him, yell "Watch out, praying mantis!" and watch him duck for cover. I love my brave husband!

Aunties Rule!

Thank you Auntie Courtney for spending the last two days with us. We had so much fun climbing on you, rummaging through your suitcase, biting you, wiping boogies on you and calling you "panky". (Ok, so Taylor did all of that). Seriously though, we all had a great time hanging out with you. Thanks for the radical dance parties! We look forward to seeing you soon. Greg can't wait to eat BBQ and watch UFC with you the next time you are here. We love you!

Happy Anniversary!

Seven years ago today Greg and I were married in the Oakland, Ca temple. We celebrated our anniversary on Saturday night by going out to dinner and then going to Wildflower for some amazing desserts. Thanks Spike!

I want my wonderful husband to know that I love, love, love him so much. He often laments that he is a very impatient person, but I disagree. Over the past seven years he has shown an immense amount of patience and love for me. Greg is my biggest supporter and best friend. I cannot imagine my life without him. Happy Anniversary sweetie!

California

We recently returned from a two week visit to my parent's house in Sacramento, California. My youngest brother Scott was married to an amazing girl named Krystal in the Sacramento temple. The wedding was beautiful and we all had a great time at the reception. Morgan and Taylor were thrilled to be two of the flower girls. Our whole family enjoyed being together for the weekend. After the wedding weekend, the girls and I stayed another week and a half relaxing and enjoying time with my parents and my sister Ashley and her husband Ryan. If we could convince Ashley and Ryan to move to Tucson, the girls would think they were in heaven. I have decided that they do not need any cousins to play with, they just need Uncle Ryan. He literally spent every free minute he had playing with the girls. Thanks Ryan for entertaining my girls--how soon can you visit us? Thanks Mom and Dad for putting up with us for 2 weeks. I am sorry for all the spilled milk, missing items, peed-on carpet and broken glass. At least you could put us on a plane and say goodbye. I still have to clean up after the carpet peeing girl.
